This is yet another cheap but handy golf rangefinder that I can recommend to the budget-conscious golfer. It may not be as loaded in features as the Tour X, but it is pretty decent especially for its price. It can give dimensions up to 540 yards.
It is also compact and lightweight that you could put this in your pocket and not be bothered by its size. I also like that this rangefinder gives 6x magnification. The images are also very vivid and clear.

TecTecTec VPRO500S Slope with Battery Laser Golf Rangefinder Review
Flag Seeker Advanced PinSensor technology— with this feature, the rangefinder has the ability to measure overlapping subjects with or without slope.
Many Amazon.com reviewers are in awe of this technology because it makes the rangefinder very intuitive and easy to use. They say all you have to do is to wave the unit around the flag or target and it locks in.
Another key feature of this rangefinder is its three active modes in locating the flagstick. The first mode is the First Target Priority mode that hits the flagstick regardless of the backdrop. The other is the Distance Target priority that shows how far the cluttered background is.
Then there’s the Pro Scan target mode that shows the distance of the user from the other objects in the background, aside from the flag.
Although this is an entry-level rangefinder, it has high the optics that can impress even the most demanding of users. It has 6x magnification which is a lot better than some more expensive rangefinders. It has an accuracy of plus/minus one yard.
The through-the-lens yard display and multi-coated optics make it a lot more impressive than other basic rangefinders in terms of lens operation.
Not all cheap rangefinders are bereft of a slope function. This is one of the few exceptions. This rangefinder is thus ideal for golfers who usually play in golf courses with changes in elevation. It can help them regulate distances even on downhill and uphill, and adjust their shot accordingly.
This feature makes the TecTecTec VPRO500S Slope Golf Rangefinder highly recommended to beginners as well as pros who just want to practice their shots in an unfamiliar course.
User friendly design
Finally, this TecTecTec VPRO500S Slope Golf Rangefinder is very user-friendly. Let’s just say that you don’t need to be a frequent user of rangefinders in order to determine how it works. Focus is very easy to change. It picks up flags, trees, and other objects fairly well.
- It is very light and compact
- It is easy to use
- It has a slope function
- It is affordable
- Accuracy can be affected by shaky hands
- It can be inconsistent at times
What does the unit come with?
It comes with a bag, strap, and battery.
There are two buttons. One is for powering on the device, another for changing modes.
The TecTecTec VPRO500S Slope Golf Rangefinder is one of those affordable rangefinders that do not scrimp on features. It has a slope function which makes it one of the few entry-level rangefinders with the said program. It is thus ideal for beginners and even pros who want to practice their shot on an unfamiliar course.
It is lightweight and compact that you won’t have troubles carrying it around the golf course. What I like most about this is its Flag seeker option—it just makes locating the flagstick a lot easier.
